Overall, my stay at Mountain Top Inn was a mix of positives and negatives. I enjoyed the beautiful outdoor spaces and the charming ambiance, but the rooms were smaller and not as comfortable as expected. The service was friendly, but the dining options were limited, and the cleanliness could have been better. While it has its good points, I wouldn't recommend it for larger families or extended stays.

The room was much smaller than I anticipated, feeling quite cramped with the bed shoved into a corner. It was clean, but the dark and tiny space left something to be desired.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but the response to my concerns about the room was lacking. They didn’t provide much support when I requested a change.

My family and I had a unique experience at the Lodge at Mountain Top Inn. We loved the spacious accommodations for our vow-renewal ceremony, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. However, the decor felt quite dated and the cleanliness left a bit to be desired, especially the blankets and some furniture. Overall, it's a beautiful setting that could use some refreshing.

The Lodge has a charming rustic feel with beautiful mountain views. While the customer service could use a little more warmth, the unique heart-shaped jacuzzi adds a fun touch to the stay. The rooms, though dated, offer a comfortable experience, but some aspects require maintenance. Overall, it serves as a decent option for a getaway in nature, especially if you're looking for an affordable place to unwind.

Rooms

The room was cozy but felt small and a bit dark, with outdated decor that could use some love. The heart-shaped jacuzzi was a fun idea, but it lacked cleanliness.

The service left something to be desired; interactions felt a bit indifferent, and I was hoping for a little more attentiveness from the staff.

There wasn't much dining available on-site aside from some snacks, which could have been improved with more options nearby.

The lodge had several nice amenities including a lovely outdoor deck, but some areas seemed to need maintenance to fully enjoy the space.

6.0/10

While the resort offers beautiful mountain views and a tranquil atmosphere, my recent stay was marred by service issues and maintenance problems in the cabin. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but there were significant mix-ups during check-in. Overall, the charm of the surroundings and rustic decor can't completely overshadow the need for better maintenance and management.

Rooms
5.0
The cabin felt small and was awkwardly laid out, but it had a refrigerator, microwave, and a desk. It also had doors leading out to front and back porches, which allowed for a nice breeze, but the overall space was cramped.
Service
6.0
The staff was friendly and seemed eager to help, but I experienced considerable confusion during check-in regarding my cabin reservation.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect for those looking to get away from it all, set in the scenic Franklin D Roosevelt State Park. Having the view on the porch was quite enjoyable, providing a relaxing backdrop.

While the facilities offered the charm of a rustic environment, they showed signs of neglect, such as old carpet and non-functioning lamps.

Our stay at the Mountain Top Inn and Resort had its ups and downs. While the views were truly breathtaking and the natural surroundings were stunning, the service surrounding the wedding we attended was frustrating. We felt charged for even the smallest requests, which took away from our overall enjoyment. The cleanliness and atmosphere were lovely, but the overall experience was clouded by the issues with the wedding coordination.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms had beautiful wood walls with beamed ceilings, offering a spacious and clean environment.
Service
5.0
The wedding coordinator was inflexible and seemed more focused on upcharging rather than ensuring a smooth experience, which was disappointing.
Location
10.0
The location itself was idyllic, set in the Georgia mountains with easy access to stunning views and local attractions.
